Night Kitchen Extreme

How about going to Night Kitchen this Saturday? That's the 5th of January and the show starts at 8pm sharp.

We'll be seeing and hearing Caleb Miles, a singer, songwriter, guitarist and sonic landscaping contractor residing in Bridgetown. He's played shows with Ian Sherwood and he's been a feature act On The Verge and all across the Province.
Also boldly printed on the poster is the name of Adam Bazinet, one of the best kept musical secrets around. At the Night Kitchen Extreme he'll likely play songs from his upcoming CD.
Another interesting performer will be Carter Lake, lead guitar player of both: Rust Bucket and the Paul Marshall band. Carter is likely one of the most exuberantly creative guitar slingers around. On the 5th, though, we're betting on him playing an original song, written by Carter Lake. Jamie Loughead has also promised to sing. His latest stint of notoriety stems from his performance as Fezziwigs Mr. Cadabra, professional genie and lamp dweller. Tessa Wingate, who's been a session flutist for Hope Gillis' new CD “The Emergence”, will perform with her partner Henry Lilienskold on percussion.
And then there are the trios. We'll experience “Trillium”, an female a cappella ensemble, at this event. That's Shawna Peverill as well as Donna Holmes and Angie Campbell, who we've seen last month at the extremely hilarious Nunsense Jamboree at CentreStage in Kentville. An other trio is comprised of the brothers Jesse and Liam Potter with their friend Paul. These three guys were last seen in performance on the day before X-mas eve 2007, when they filled the “On The Verge” restaurant with their audience and a brand new collection of songs.
From the Windsor area, there are two singer/songwriters who will take part in the show. They are Anthony Wood and Avard Woolaver, who we met through Moe's Place, Windsor's meeting spot for musicians and instrument fiends.
Wolfville's very own Rose Folks is part of the lineup as well. This songstress has been seen performing more and more over the last year or so, edging her songs into listeners memories, sounding like nobody else. We'll enjoy Delores Boudreau, too. Just ask the Internet about her. She's from Cape Breton, performs both in French and English, has two CD's to her credit and now studies music therapy at Acadia. An other tune smith at the show is Chris Robison, who played bass, guitar and mandolin with Sean Peori, John Lynch, Adam Bazinet and many others. He's a very unique performer and surprised everybody at the Al Whittle with brand new material when he last played at the Al Whittle Theatre.
Night Kitchen Extreme. An extreme amount of talent presented in less than 2 hours. I'll be there for sure.
